Please take a few minutes to read the attached letter and updated Covid-19 protocols from the Diocese of Jackson. In agreement with the letter from the Office of Catholic Education, we are pleased with how well our school has fared this year with our Covid protocols in place. Cases and exposures have steadily declined since the beginning of school, and we feel confident that VCS can safely move from Level 3 to Level 2 protocols as outlined in the attachment.

What does this mean for us?
Students must wear a mask in the following situations:
Entering the building each day
Hallways
Restrooms
Cafeteria until seated to eat
Classrooms when working in groups or moving around
Large group indoor events such as programs, athletics, and Mass
Any other indoor public spaces
Students may remove their mask in the following situations:
Classrooms while seated at their desks
Cafeteria while seated and eating
Outdoor spaces
These new protocols will begin Monday, October 4. As always, we will monitor the situation and adjust our protocols as needed. Sanitizing of the facilities and distancing will continue. Please speak with your student about the importance of following the new guidelines so that we may safely and smoothly make this transition.

Now serving 8 weeks - 12th grade!

Vicksburg Catholic School will return to campus for in person learning on Tuesday, February 23rd.

Due to extreme low temperatures, dangerous road conditions and possible power outages on Monday and Tuesday Vicksburg Catholic School will move to distance learning on Tuesday, February 16th.
Remember Monday, February 15th is a School Holiday!
Please be on the lookout for updated information on the VCS Website, emails and text messages as more wintery weather is in the forecast later in the week.
